The company has released both 4X4 BOX Mini PCs and 4X4 Mini-ITX 1U motherboards that come in two flavors, one with the AMD Ryzen 7 8840U and the other with the Ryzen 5 8640U. AMD’s Ryzen 7 8840U features 8 cores, 16 threads, 24 MB of cache and a boost clock of up to 5.1 GHz with a TDP rating of up to 30W. The Ryzen 5 8640U features 6 cores, 12 threads, 22 MB of cache, a boost clock of up to 4.9 GHz and a maximum TDP rating of 30W.

In terms of GPU, the Ryzen 7 chip comes with a Radeon 780M iGPU with 12 compute units clocked at 2700 MHz while the Ryzen 5 chip comes with a Radeon 760M iGPU with 8 compute units clocked at 2600 MHz. Both chips are pretty much the same affair as their older Ryzen 7040U SKUs but have a faster NPU, offering up to 16 TOPS from the XDNA 1 engine and a combined 39 (CPU+GPU+NPU) AI TOPS.

Coming to the two designs, the ASRock Industrial 4X4 BOX Mini PCs come in a 117.5x110x49 mm chassis with active cooling technology. It includes support for two DDR5 SO-DIMM with up to 5600 MT/s speeds and 96 GB capacities.
